Olwethu has worked in different capacities with publications with strong online presence, such as: Mess Magazine, Hy-Se-Sy-Se Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Tidal (Lucky Magazine and Details Magazine), and iAfrica.

She has been a freelance writer for lifestyle events such as Fashion Shows, Equestrian events, Expos etc.

 

Her postgraduate degree in Sociology has equiped her with the abilities necessary to work as a researcher in any industry. She has consulted on topics of business administration, entrepreneurship and mentoring, fashion, blogging, social media, social behavior, films, market research, and more. Her thesis topic was on studying demographically diverse students reactions to the perpetuation of stereotypes in North American cinema, and the research provided added insight into South African audiences experiencing world cinema.

 

Due to her cultivation of a network within the entertainment industry she had been asked by Pana Television then-COO Mandy Rogers, to act as a liaison between their team and notable celebrities in attendance at events such as Cape Town Fashion Week. Olwethu has also been a presenter for Pana Teleivison at events such as the Bokeh International Film festival.

 

She has worked, and had the opportunity for major photo ops with notable public figures such as: Patrice Motsepe, Viktorija Pashuta, Bonang Matheba, David Tlale, Dr. Precious Motsepe, Trevor Noah, Alexa Chung, Emily Ratajkowski and more.
